What is Microsoft Azure for Education?
Microsoft Azure for Education is the easiest and most inexpensive way for academic departments to make the latest Microsoft software available in labs, classrooms, and on student PCs. The program, which is available in more than 160 countries worldwide, has two primary goals: - To make it easier and less expensive for academic institutions to obtain Microsoft developer tools, platforms, and servers for instructional and research purposes. - To build a community of instructors who can share curriculum and other learning resources to support the use of these technologies.
Here's who is eligible for access to Azure for Education software:
- All faculty and staff of Northeastern University.
- Any NU undergraduate or graduate student who is: currently enrolled in a class while classes are in session.
- Any major enrolled in classes or on co-op.
Azure for Education is a University-wide program, managed by central ITS. Please contact email@example.com for any issues with the program.
Access to Microsoft Azure for Education
Please visit: https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools
When signing up, you will need to log in using your MyNEU username. Your username must have the format of firstname.lastname@example.org
As long as you are a Northeastern Student or on coop, you will have access to the program. Once you graduate or leave the University, your account will be disabled and you will not have a way to access your downloads or keys. Due to our strict licensing terms, the Azure for Education Program Administrator cannot give a user access back to their account if they are not currently enrolled at the Northeastern. This also includes access to software and serials previously acquired to the program. It is highly recommended that software acquired from the program is backed up by the user to a local location and that all serials acquired through the program are stored somewhere locally as well. The Program Administrator will not give access back to accounts not currently enrolled in classes.
Additional software that was available in previous iterations of Azure for Education is available at: https://neu.onthehub.com/WebStore/Welcome.aspx
You can login using your MyNEU username (without appending the domain) and myNEU password.
