| preview | Code42 Backup is a service that conveniently and securely backs up files to the cloud, for a monthly fee. The following request is intended for Northeastern faculty and staff members to create or remove a Code42 account and obtain the necessary downloads for devices to be backed up. Once the request is approved by a budget manager and properly configured, devices will be backed up incrementally to Code42 Backup storage and can be easily restored by the user through a client or a web-based applications.
Cost
Code42 Backup accounts will be billed $6.15 on the 15th of each month that the account is active to the budget code provided.
Intended Users
All faculty, staff, and sponsored accounts with a valid, approved request are eligible to use Code42 Backup.

To obtain locally installed software for your computer, you must confirm that you are using a university-owned machine. Please provide the computer's service tag or serial number in the proper field below.
Follow these instructions to install or launch the software on your university-owned machine:
- To connect to the software server, your machine must be on the Northeastern network either on campus or via VPN. See How do I connect to Northeastern VPN? for more information.
- The installation of some software requires that you are an administrator on your computer. If you are not an administrator, complete the Local Admin Request form before continuing.

preview | Faculty and staff whose departments and colleges have software needs should contact IT Services to assist with the purchase, licensing, and distribution of discipline-specific software.
ITS’s Software Licensing will negotiate, procure, and manage the software licenses and will try to identify other departments with the same need to share the purchase cost.
A request can be submitted for IT Services to distribute department-owned software or provide lab use for 25 or more computers.
